Day 01: Delhi
On landing in Delhi, our executive will meet up with you and escort you till the hotel that has been booked on ready occupancy basis. Check in and retire for the day.
Day 02: Delhi (City Tour)
Post breakfast you can commence your Classical India tours by embarking on trail across Old and New Delhi. Major tourist attractions that you will visit on this day include the Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, Red Fort, India Gate, Humayun’s tomb, and Qutub Minar etc.
Overnight stay in the hotel in Delhi.
Day 03: Delhi – Bhopal (by rail)
Post breakfast you will be transferred to the railway station from where you will board the direct train to Bhopal. On arrival in the city you will be greeted by our tour executive and transferred to the hotel where you can check in and spend some moments in leisure.
Later you can travel across the city and visit the attractions such as Bharat Bhawan, Indira Gandhi National Museum of Mankind, Laxmi Narayan temple, and the Taj ul Masjid.
Dinner and overnight stay in Bhopal.
Day 04: Bhopal - Sanchi - Bhimbetka – Bhopal (67 km/ 1 hour – 98 km/ 1.5 hours – 42 km/ 45 min)
On the 4th day of the classic trail you will embark on excursions to Sanchi and Bhimbetka. Sanchi is known for its Buddhist sites and museums and Bhimbetka is best visited for its archaeological ruins.
Dinner and overnight stay in Bhopal.
Day 05: Bhopal – Indore (195 km/ 4 hours)
Post-breakfast you will proceed to Indore, enroute also visiting the attractions of Ujjain. The classic attractions you will visit on this day include temples and sites such as Bade Ganeshji temple, Mahakaleshwar temple, and Ved Shala etc.
Dinner and overnight stay in hotel in Indore.
Day 06: Indore – Mandu (97 km/ 1.5 hours)
From Indore you will head towards Mandu. Local sites that you will visit in Mandu are Mandu Fort, specifically Rupmati’s Pavilion, Ashrafi Mahal, Hindola Mahal, and Hoshang’s tomb.
Dinner and overnight stay in Mandu.
Day 07: Mandu - Omkareshwar – Maheshwar (133 km/ 2 hours – 69 km/ 1 hour)
On the 7th day of the sojourn, you will travel down to Maheshwar that is mostly known for its ancient temples. Principal sites that you will visit are Rajrajeshwar temple, Kashi Vishwanath temple, Ahilya Mata’s Chattris, and Chaturbhuj Narayan temple. Enroute you will also visit the attractions of Omkareshwar. Omkareshwar is noted for housing 1 of the 12 ‘Jyotirlinga’s’ of Lord Shiva. Must visit attractions in Omkareshwar are Sri Omkar Mandhata temple, Mamaleshwar temple, kedareshwar temple, and Gauri Somnath temple.
Overnight stay in Maheshwar.
Day 08: Maheshwar - Indore – Delhi (by air)
Post breakfast on the 8th day of the journey, you will be transferred to Indore to board the direct flight to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi you will head to the International Airport to catch the flight back home.
