With the Stately and Spiritual India tour of India, one can catch a glimpse of the essence, the soul of the Indian sub continent. Royalty and religion are 2 elements from which India can’t be separated. We have therefore combined the two to enable you a taste of what the terms actually mean in this context. Of course the repertoire is large and cannot be summed up over a 12-day tour. This tour is more of a trailer of the entire concept that can be discovered over extended India tours.

Itinerary Details

Day 01
Day 01: Delhi

On the first day of the Stately and Spiritual India tour, you may visit the city attractions of Delhi. Birla Mandir, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, and India Gate are a few of those attractions to be named here that will truly begin your sojourn.

Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel in Delhi.

Day 02
Day 02: Delhi - Jaipur (263 km/ 4.5 hours)

Drive down to Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan ton feast on the Rajputana royalty and heritage. Before you will arrive in Jaipur, you will also visit the Amer fort. On arrival in the city, you will check in at the hotel and retire for the day.

Day 03
Day 03: Jaipur (City Tour)

All throughout the 3rd day of your sojourn, you will travel in and around Jaipur. The prime destinations you will visit on this day are Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, City Palace complex, and also the colourful markets of the city. Do pick up handicraft items to carry back home as interesting souvenirs.

Day 04
Day 04: Jaipur - Agra (231 km/ 4 hours)

Post an early morning breakfast, you will embark on your journey till Agra. Before you will arrive in the city, you will also get a chance to be introduced to some of the fine specimens of Mughal heritage; the royalty that can be experienced by visiting the sites of Fatehpur Sikri. Panch Mahal, Buland Darwaza, and Birbal’s House are a few of the major sites to be named here.

On your arrival in the city, you can check into the pre-booked hotel and retire for the day.

Day 05
Day 05: Agra (City Tour)

You can visit the attractions of Agra city on the 5th day morning. Taj Mahal, the Agra Fort, and the Itmad ud Daullah are a few of them to name here. In the evening, you can explore the local markets for picking up marble and inlay handicraft products.

Day 06
Day 06: Agra - Gwalior (121 km/ 2 hours)

From Agra, you will travel on surface to the next destination - Gwalior. A medieval city in central India, Gwalior is best visited for attractions such as Gwalior fort, Man Mandir, and Teli ka Mandir etc.

Day 07
Day 07: Gwalior – Orchha (117 km/ 2 hours)

Post-breakfast you will continue with your sojourn to Orchha. Enroute to Orchha you will also visit the Govinda Palace at Datia. Significant attractions that you can explore in Orchha, on reaching the city are Chaturbhuj temple, Sheesh Mahal, Jehangir Mahal, and sunset views at the river Betwa.

Day 08
Day 08: Orchha – Khajuraho (174 km/ 2.5 hours)

Post an early morning breakfast, you will drive down to Khajuraho, mostly known for its Chandela temples with erotic carvings and sculptures adorning the walls. Evening in leisure.

Day 09
Day 09: Khajuraho (City Tour)

On the 9th day of the journey you can travel around the Khajuraho temples. Categorized as the eastern and western group of temples, a trip to this town will surely educate you on the royalty of the valiant rulers of this land and also give you an insight into the socio-cultural conditions of the country during those times.

Day 10
Day 10: Khajuraho – Varanasi (by air)

The highlight of any religious tour in India is visiting Varanasi - the ancient Indian city highly revered by the Hindus. The short flight journey will take you to this city and on reaching here you can immediately set out to explore the Bathing Ghats, Sankat Mochan temple, Vishwanath temple, and the Tulsi Manas temple. A visit to the Aurangzeb Mosque will also be a wonderful idea.

Day 11
Day 11: Varanasi (City Tour)

Do not miss to treat yourself to some very mesmerizing and magical visuals of the Varanasi city that can especially be enjoyed in the early mornings. The bathing ghats are the places to be in, while here. Post breakfast you can travel to Sarnath that is known for its Buddhist heritage.

Later you will return to Varanasi for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 12
Day 12: Varanasi – Delhi (by air)

On the 12th day, the Stately and Spiritual India tour comes to an end. You will board the morning flight to New Delhi and from there board the connecting flight to your forward destination. The memories of this wonderful sojourn will revisit you times and again...
