Itinerary Details

Day 01
Day 01: Leh (Arrival)

Upon arrival in Leh, meet our tour representative who’ll assist you in smooth transfer to your hotel. For the rest of the day, accommodate yourself to the high altitude of Ladakh. In the evening, proceed on a walking tour to the local markets in Leh. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 02
Day 02: Indus Valley Monastery tour (120 Kms round trip)

Post breakfast in the morning, take a road journey to Thiksey village to visit Thikse monastery (It features images, stupas and wall paintings of Budhha) followed by Shey village to explore Shey Palace & Gompa (a palace featuring 7.5 meters Buddha statue plated with gold). Later, proceed towards Hemis monastery (It was built by Singge Namgyal in 1630 and is the wealthiest Gompa in Ladakh). While returning back to Leh, visit Stok Palace and Museum (it features fabulous costumes and jewelry of the erstwhile royalty) on the way. By evening, return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 03
Day 03: Leh – Alchi (75 Kms)

Post breakfast in the morning, leave by road for Alchi with packed lunch. On the way, visit Magnetic Hill, meeting point of Zanskar and Indus river, Basgo Fort (built in 1680, it was the seat of Namgyal family and abounds with 16th century murals and artifacts) and Likir Monastery (It was found in the 11th century). On reaching Alchi, visit Alchi Monastery (this monastery was built around 1000 years back and feature miniature size images of Lord Buddha). Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel/camp.

Day 04
Day 04: Alchi - Lamayuru - Leh. (180 Kms round trip)

Early morning, leave by road for Lamayuru.. It is an ancient monastery whose surrounding landscape resembles the moon surface. Later, visit the Rizong monastery (It is the oldest monastery in Ladakh) and Chulichan nunnery (Located below the Rizong monastery, it is home to around 20 nuns that provide food & cloth to the monks) before returning back to Leh. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 05
Day 05: Leh - Nubra via Khardungla Pass (140 Kms / 5 – 6 hrs)

Early morning, set out on an excursion to Nubra Valley-the highest motorable pass in the world. Upon arrival in Nubra, proceed to visit the White Sand Dunes at Hunder to savor camel ride.. Visit Hunder and Diskit monasteries if time allows followed by check in at Deluxe Camp for overnight stay.

Day 06
Day 06: Nubra - Leh

Post breakfast in the morning, return back to Leh via Khardungla Pass. In the evening, proceed on a walking tour to Leh market, Jokhang (Built in 1957, it is the Buddhist association of Ladakh) and mosque (It was built as a treaty between Emperor Aurangzeb and Ladakh ruler Deldan Namgyal). Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 07
Day 07: Airport Departure

In the morning, you’ll be transferred to the Leh airport to board flight to Delhi.
